Jon Abbott, our CEO was joined by Doug Weekes, CISO and Director of Data Governance, Sainsbury's, at the Evanta CISO Executive Summit on 11 June. Together, they introduced the audience to how ThreatAware enabled the iconic British supermarket chain to strengthen its cyber security defences.

Doug explained how the sheer complexity of the Sainsbury’s environment made it virtually impossible to establish an accurate asset inventory and view the status of all vital security controls. Faced with this challenge, Doug and his team found that it was more cost-effective to buy the ThreatAware platform than to try and build a solution themselves.

The audience heard how their team has seen the platform continually updated and improved. Doug talked through how they had connected ThreatAware to all the company’s tooling to a point at which they can now see every device and the deployment of all security controls.

Over and above the peace of mind ThreatAware provides, Doug highlighted how the platform gives the Sainsbury’s Board visibility into the security status of the devices and how he can report on legacy coverage and risk across the entire estate.
